Russell E. Lausch

Russell E. Lausch, age 70, of West Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of Stevens, PA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 7:14 PM in Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lancaster, PA. Born in Reamstown, PA, a son of the late Paul H. and Blanche (Sensenig) Lausch, he was married 50 years to Sundae Ann (Clouser) Lausch. A 1961 Cocalico Union High School graduate, he was a Vietnam War Army veteran and worked in the sales department for H & F Tire Service, Lancaster. Russell was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church, Willow Street; associate member of Christ United Methodist Church, Central, PA; and had been a council and choir member at the former St. John"s Lutheran Church, Denver. He had served as president and board member of Red Rose Barbershop Chorus, Lancaster; was past president and member of Reamstown Fire Co. and ambulance assoc.; and entertainment chairman of the annual Reamstown Days. Also surviving is his son, Bruce A. (Melina Klopp) Lausch, Denver; grandchildren, Hayden E. & Henry A.; and sisters, Rochelle E., wife of Kenneth W. Heinsey, Stevens; Rita E., wife of Barry L. Garner, Reamstown; and Rhonda E., wife of Byron L. Ziegler, Mohnton. A celebration of Russell"s life will be held on Sunday, July 20, at 3 PM from Ascension Lutheran Church, 600 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA 17584, with his pastor, The Reverend Steven R. Bowser, officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Inurnment with military honors will be held on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 10 AM in Salem Union Cemetery, Reamstown.
