Betty M. Good

Betty M. (Reddig) Good, age 92, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 8:20 PM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, PA, where she resided for over 2 years. Born in Reamstown, a daughter of the late J. C. and Cora Mae (Adams) Reddig, her husband, Clifford H. Good, died May 20, 1988. Betty was a 1940 graduate of East Cocalico Vocational School. She was a member of Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, and a former member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reamstown, where she sang in the church choir. Betty was a cafeteria worker at Adamstown Elementary School and assisted her husband at the former Good"s Store, Reamstown, and his well known bus trips. She loved playing piano and playing pinochle with the card club and cherished her family and friends. Surviving is her daughter, Marilyn A., wife of Edgar R. Sweigart, Stevens; her son, Douglas C., husband of Wendy (Long) Good, Ephrata; grandchildren, Steven (Carol) Sweigart, Shawn (Maria) Sweigart, Kelly & Karen Good; and great-grandchildren, Ashton & Amelia Sweigart. Betty's siblings, Ruth Uibel and Paul Reddig, predeceased her. A celebration of Betty's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 10 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with her pastor, The Rev. Joseph A. Veres, officiating. Burial will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 PM and immediately prior to the service on Tuesday.
