Donald Kindt

Donald R. Kindt, age 86, formerly of Reinholds, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, PA. Born in Ephrata, a son of the late Clarence and Edith (Gerhart) Kindt, he was married to Myrtle M. (Frederick) Kindt for 63 years. A World War II Navy veteran he was a self-employed painting contractor for over 50 years. Donald cherished his family and loved woodworking, hunting, fishing and was a member of Heimrue Hunting Club, Clinton County. Also surviving are daughters, Donna E. (Robert) Starr, Ephrata; and Denise L. (Kevin P.) Shimp, Stevens; son, Donald L. (Judy A. Steely) Kindt, Sr., Reinholds; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elva Morgan & Alverta Myers. A son, Ronald L. Kindt; sister, Erla Hess; and brother, John, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012, at 10:00 am in Ephrata Manor Chapel, 99 Bethany Road, Ephrata, PA 17522, with viewing from 9 to 10 am. The graveside service with military honors will be Friday at 2:30 pm in Millbach Cemetery, Rt. 419, Lebanon County.
