Kathryn Fitterling

Kathryn Fitterling, age 88, a resident of Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of Denver, died Friday, February 3, 2017, at 10:45 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Adamstown, a daughter of the late Amos Glass and Stella (Hornberger) Glass Lausch, she was married to Marvin G. Fitterling for 56 years. A member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, she was the chairperson of the church Health Welfare Committee for 25 years. Kathryn was a secretary for Triple G Farms and E F Trucking, and was an avid card player. Also surviving, is her daughter, Karen F., wife of Art P. Pannebecker, Denver; step-son, Dale Fitterling, Denver; step-daughter, Vicki, wife of Gary Welsch, Houston, TX; grandchildren: Penny Showalter, Connie Wolf Chad Pannebecker; 2 step-grandsons; 6 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alverta Kilhefner, Denver. She was predeceased by her 1st huband, Mark E. Althouse, in 1957, and a brother, George Glass. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 9, at 11 AM from Peace UCC, 37 E. Swartzville Rd., Denver, PA 17517, with Rev. William E. Hoch officiating. Viewings will be Wednesday, February 8, from 6-8 PM at Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, and Thursday 10-11 AM at church. Burial in Mellinger's Cemetery, Schoeneck.
