Phyllis J. Fritz

Phyllis J. Fritz, 86, formerly of Denver, recent resident of Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center of Narvon, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born in Bluefield, WV, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Clifford D. and Bernice (Wills) Dorn and the loving wife to Charles W. “Smiley” Fritz, Sr. until his passing in 2007.

Phyllis moved to Maryland when she was 4 years old. While growing up just south of the Mason Dixon line, she learned the bay cuisine of steamed blue crabs and crab cakes which she loved all her life. Phyllis moved to the Denver, PA area in 1973 with her husband. She enjoyed working as a cashier at Thriftway in Shillington and IGA in Milmont for several years. Phyllis always loved being outside and trips to the family mountain cabin in Wellsboro were the most precious of her memories. Family was

everything to her. She loved spending time with her siblings, her children and she especially adored her

grandchildren. She enjoyed puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, and Days of Our Lives. Phyllis had a playful spirit

and a fun, dry sense of humor.

Phyllis is survived by five children, Barbara Sharpe of Franklin, New Hampshire, Richard Flichman (Bonnie) of Plainflats, TN, Cindy Edwards of Franklin, New Hampshire, Michael Flichman (Wendy) of Lexington, NC, Charles W. Fritz Jr. (Alicia) of Denver, PA; 11 grandchildren, Steven, Michael, Nikki, Richie, Brittany, Lauren, Jesse, Jordan, Alex, Janelle, and Charlie; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four siblings, Marvin Dorn, David Dorn, Margaret Swartz, and Kathleen Smith. Phyllis was predeceased by a brother, Clifford Dorn and sister, Joann Dorn.

A viewing will be held on Wed., June 26 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Good Sipler Funeral & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34 N. Reamstown Rd., Reamstown (Stevens). The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m.
