Warren H. Zimmerman

Warren H. Zimmerman, 94, of Denver, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, peacefully while on hospice in his home in the caring presence of his family. Born in Brecknock Twp., Warren was a son to the late William F. and Sallie A. (Horting) Zimmerman and the loving husband to Gladys H. (Holsinger) Zimmerman for 63 years until her passing in 2018.

Warren attended the one room schoolhouse, Chestnut Hill School. He was a skilled mechanic and worked at L.H. Zimmerman Inc in Hahnstown for over 50 years. He enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, and farming. Warren particularly enjoyed his apple orchard and was known for having the best apple cider in the area. Working on the farm with his Ford tractor was Warren’s favorite place to be. He was also a talented woodworker, a skill he enjoyed a little later in life. He was a jack of all trades, completing his own home projects whether plumbing or electrical. Warren was a man of faith and lifelong member of Hahnstown United Zion Church where he volunteered much of his time. He loved his cats, Princess was his favorite and of course his old dog, Brandy.

Warren is survived by three children, Debbie L., married to Gene Lynch of Stevens; Joyce E. Youndt of Denver, and Kevin E., married to Liza (Bucag) Zimmerman of Denver; four grandsons, Bryan, Brad, Robert, and Brandon; four granddaughters, Brianna, Nicole, Elizabeth, and Kayla; and three great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Stella, and Olyver.

He is predeceased by son in law, Dale Youndt; three brothers, Chester zimmerman, Lloyd Zimmerman, Irwin Zimmerman; and six sisters, Bessie Zimmerman, Irene Stoner, Mable Sensenig, violet Good, Marie Knauer, Jane Burkholder.

Viewings: Thurs., Aug. 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Fri., Aug. 16th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hahnstown United Zion Church, 900 Glenwood Dr., Ephrata, PA 17522. Funeral service: Friday at 11 a.m. also in church. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
