Douglas Mackley, 83 of Reamstown, passed into the arms of Jesus on September 10, 2025. Born in Lancaster to the late Harris and Elizabeth (Getz) Mackley, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne (Haldeman) Mackley.
Doug loved his family dearly and was known for his passions of fishing, the Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Cardinals and his '55 Chevy Bel-Air. He gave back to his community by serving East Cocalico Township for 38 years as a member of the water authority and later, as a Township Supervisor. Doug proudly coached his children’s midget football and softball teams. He is a Veteran of the US Army and also a 1960 graduate of Warwick HS. He enjoyed spending time in Cape May, NJ and Slate Run, PA.
He is also survived by his children Lori (Greg) Heim, Christopher (Maria) and Bethanie (Chad) Zander; 8 grandchildren Brooke, Blair, Briana, Brayden, Lauren, Garrett, Brock and Bryn and 11 great grandchildren as well as his sister Elaine (Neal) Schwendemann and brother John.
Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 on September 19, 2025, with services at 11:00 at St. Paul's EC Church of Reamstown. Internment at Ephrata Mohler Church to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Paul's EC Church of Reamstown.
