Betty Gehman

Betty H. Gehman, 90 of Adamstown, passed away Tues., Nov. 13, 2018 at Ephrata Manor. Born in Denver, she was a daughter of the late Walter & Lillie (Weidman) Hertzog and widow of Floyd H. Gehman who passed in 1992. Betty graduated from Denver H.S., class of 1946. She was committed to her family and her community. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts and an active member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church where she taught summer bible school and evening bible studies. Betty volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was dedicated to supporting local charities; she would walk door to door collecting donations. Betty loved her two feline companions named Amos & Church. She is survived by two sons, Dean A. Gehman, husband of Dreama (Taylor) of Goode, VA and Daryl L. Gehman of South Hadley, MA; a grandson, David A. Gehman, husband of Jessica (Kauffman); and a sister, Phyllis Dellinger. Visitation will be Sat., Nov. 17th, 11:00 11:30 am and funeral service at 11:30 am in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 80 E Main St, Adamstown, officiated by Rev. Sandra Gideon. Interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to ORCA, 401 E Orange St, Lancaster, PA 17602.
