David C. Dierolf, 67, of Reinholds, passed away on Monday, January 6th, 2025, at Tower Health Reading Hospital. Born in Reading, David was a son of the late Edwin and Shirley J. (Hoffman) Dierolf Jr. and the loving husband of 30 years to Alfreda Mosteller Dierolf.
David was a graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Vo-Tech, class of 1975. With his skill and interest in auto mechanics, he started working on Volvos with the former Bob Alsbach, and then Voltz Wagons with Ulrich Garage. Later in his working life, David worked for 20 years in sales for Weavers Precast and Ideal/King until he retired in February of 2024. David was a former member of Hillside Christian Church, and currently attended Dove Westgate Church. David was an auto enthusiast and was known for being a major ‘Motor Head’; he absolutely loved cars, rebuilding motors, owning his own street-rods and other fun cars, or watching NASCAR and car shows. He enjoyed street rod shows on the weekend and at one point, he was a co-owner of a race car. He was witty with his humor or personalized nicknames for others. David had a loving and patient heart, helping anyone who needed it. His faithful and fun personality will be deeply missed.
David is survived by loving nieces and nephews, Sonya, Eric, Erica, Candi, Drew, Danae, Derek, Dillan; great nieces, Astrid, Braylynn, and Evelyn, great nephew, Zayden; father in-law, Joseph Mosteller; brothers in-law Antonio Gonzalez Medina and Daniel Mosteller; and sister in-law Rosella Mosteller. David was predeceased by brother, Melvin Dierolf and sister, Sheryl Gonzalez. He was also predeceased by his 'bonus family', Harold and Marylou Frankhouser who included him as family after the tragic loss of his four family members and is survived by Steven and Lorraine Frankhouser and Lisa and Brett Kerschner and their children.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Dove Westgate Church, 1755 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA 17522, visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. David’s final resting place is Forest Hill Cemetery.
