James Allen

James H. Allen, age 76, of Wernersville, Berks County, PA, formerly of Hastings, Cambria County PA, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center Hospice Unit surrounded by his loving family. A Proud Navy veteran, he was retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 743, Reading, PA. Jim loved fishing, gardening, cooking and was a member of the Hastings VFW and Fire Club. Most importantly, Jim was a loving father, grandfather and dear friend to many. Born February 9, 1937, a son of the late Ray and Catherine (Gayton) Allen, he is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James H. & Brenda Allen, Jr., Reinholds; Perry D. & Damaris Allen, Newmanstown; and Danny R. & Monica Allen, Wernersville; grandchildren, Olivia and Jimmy Allen; sisters, Louise Burgess and Loretta Porter; and brothers, Milton, George and Carmen Allen. A memorial celebration of Jim"s life will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 11:00 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 North Reamstown Road, Reamstown, Lancaster County, PA 17567.
