Joan L. Long

Joan L. Long, 93, Long Neck, DE, formerly of Reinholds, PA, died on September 11, 2024. Born in Denver, PA, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Bertha (Hirneisen) Becker. Her husband Raymond preceded her in death in 2014.

She was a member of Swamp Lutheran Church, Reinholds, and was a former sextant and member of the Food Committee. Joan was a 50 year member of Reading Eastern Star Chapter 251, Lancaster Order of the Amaranth, and a past High Priestess of Minyah Court #24 Ladies’ Oriental Shrine.

Joan is survived by a son, Craig A. Long, Long Neck, DE, and daughter Yvonne L. McKeldin (Roberts), Felton, DE. Also, grandchildren, Eric Long (Kristin) Newmanstown, PA, Gillian Masten (Tyler Nordland), Glenn Burnie, MD, and Zoe Madonna (Michael), Wilmington, DE.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on September 27 at 11:00 AM at Swamp Church Cemetery, Reinholds, with the Rev. Bonnie Oplinger officiating.
