Florence E. Miller

Florence E. Miller, age 87, formerly of Reinholds, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at 3:10 AM in Ephrata Manor. Flossie was a gentle lady who took pride in the beauty of her flower beds and flocks of chickens that provided fresh eggs for family and friends. Born in Stevens, a daughter of the late Harvey A. and Annie T. (Steffy) Kramer, her husband of 53 years, Melvin M. Miller, died September 27, 2006. A member of Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinholds, she worked in the garment industry for Cinderella Knitting Mill and Keystone Nitewear Co. She frequently shared her warm smile with many, until recently when an aging body robbed her of it. Surviving are her sister and best friend, Helen M. Werner, Reinholds; and brother, Howard A. (Betty Moyer) Kramer, Ephrata; and nieces nephews. A brother, Edwin Kramer, predeceased her. The viewing will be Friday, Dec. 23, from 10-11 AM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with 'A Thanksgiving for Her Life Service' at 11 AM. The Rev. Dennis L. Trout will officiate. Burial will follow in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds. Her family thanks the staff of Ephrata Manor for the compassionate care provided over the past years.
