Henry H. Arnold, age 93, of Adamstown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Sunday, January 1, 2017, at 1:45 PM in Ephrata Community Hospital. Born in Adamstown, he was a son of the late Howard J. and Mary (Houshower) Arnold. A plumber by trade, he worked for Wellington Glass, Adamstown, and Essig Company, Reading. Henry was a World War II Navy veteran having served as gunner's mate 2nd class of the original crew of aircraft carrier USS Intrepid for 3 years in the South Pacific. An avid hunter fisherman, he enjoyed gunsmithing and wine making, and was a charter member of Adamstown Rod Gun Cluband alife member of Adamstown VFW. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Shirley E. (Krick) Arnold, Adamstown; his daughter, Judy I., wife of Michael B. LaBelle, Sr., Pottstown; grandchildren, Michael Jr. Wendy Bradley; great-grandchildren, Erin Cara. His sister, Kathryn Weinhold, predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, at 1 PM from Good Funeral Home, Reamstown, with Rev. Dr. Martha M. Smith officiating.Henry's viewing will be Friday from Noon to 1 PM.
