John R. 'Rusty' Fox, age 69, of Stevens, East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died March 21, 2016, at 4:05 PM in Spruce Manor Health Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, Berks County, PA. Born in Mt. Pleasant, NJ, he was a son of the late John S. and Rose M. (Trimmer) Fox. A Lykens High School and Stevens Trade School graduate, John served as an Army sergeant during the Vietnam War. A brick layer, he was a foreman with Witmer McCoy, Mt. Joy, and taught at Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology, Lancaster. 'Rusty' enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and cherished time with family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church. Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Cynthia E. (Hummel) Fox; sons, Brian (Krystal) Fox, Elizabethville; Michael (Pamela) Fox, Ephrata; John A. (Denise) Fox, Brownstown; grandchildren, Alyssa (Dan), Timothy (Haley), Hannah; Sarah; Emily; great-grandchildren, Lyla Abraham; and 5 sisters 4 brothers. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 26, at 11 AM from St. Paul's E. C. Church, 46 E. Church St., Reamstown, PA 17567-0275, with The Rev. Kirk R. Marks officiating. Private inurnment with military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA. The family will receive friends following the service; there will be no viewing at John's request. Kindly omit flowers with contributions sent to his church memorial fund at the address above.
