Kathryn M. Zerbe

Remembering Kathryn with Love... Kathryn M. Zerbe, 89, formerly of Denver and Ephrata, died Friday, January 19, 2007, at 4:10 AM in Ephrata Manor where she resided for the past 18 months. Born September 8, 1917, in Reamstown, she was a daughter of the late John and Carrie (VonNieda) Wolf. Her husband of 61 years, Eugene Zerbe, died December 24, 1996. A member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Denver, she was a graduate of East Cocalico High School, enjoyed cooking, sewing and boating. Kathryn was the bookkeeper and assisted her late husband with operating Zerbe's Chips, Denver , for 32 years. Suviving is a daughter, Joan L., wife of Jere L. Shimp, Ephrata, PA; 6 grandchildren, Jolene Shimp, Lititz, PA; Wendy, wife of Michael Sheaffer, Lancaster, PA; Yvonne, wife of Brett Engroff, Lititz, PA; Cheryl, wife of Brian Trewella, Alburtis, PA; Katrina, wife of Craig Fausnacht, Millersville, PA; and Dion, husband of Victoria Stauffer, Japan; and 6 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Jean L. Stauffer, died in 1989. Viewing Funeral Service... At Kathryn's request, all services will be held privately by her family from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown. Burial will be in Muddy Creek Cemetery , Swartzville , PA.
