Rex A. Holmes

Remembering Rex with Love... Rex A. Holmes, 66, Ephrata, died August 5, 2010, in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville. Born in Hartford , CT , a son of the late Max and Doris (Bishop) Holmes, he was married to Sylvia (Ballou) Holmes for 40 years. He trained harness horses for 25 years throughout the east coast, worked for Princeton Nursery, Princeton, NJ, and tended bar at Gouglersville Fire Company the Elks Lodge and American Legion of Ephrata. Rex also worked for Brockie Pharmatech, York . He was a member of Sons of the American Legion, New Holland; Adamstown VFW and Ephrata AmVets. Rex loved animals, especially his dog, Chyna, and cat, Jesse. Also surviving is a son, David Holmes, companion of Caroline Borden, Reading; daughters, Sharon (William) Lountris, Reading ; and Tammy (Carl R.) Fiedler, Cape May , NJ ; grandchildren, Brooke and Billy Rex; and sisters, Maryann, Candy Alice, all of CT. He was predeceased by grandchildren, Rachel Bobby. Private Memorial Service... A private memorial celebration of Rex's life will be held from Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown.
