Richard S. Huntzinger

Richard S. Huntzinger, age 96, of Shannondell at Vally Forge, Lower Providence Township, Audubon, Montgomery County, Pennsyvlania, formerly of Brecknock Township, Berks County, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 7:30 PM in Rehab as Shannondell. Born in Philadelphia, a son of the late Norman L. and Sadie S. (Stauffer) Huntzinger, his wife of 72 years, Mary E. (Shupp) Huntzinger, died April 11, 2015. Richard was a 1938 Shillington High School graduate and received his degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State University in 1942. He worked as a computer engineer for the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center. He was a member of the American Cryptogram Association. Surviving are sons, Richard B. Huntzinger, Wilmington, NC; and Robert S. Huntzinger, Devon; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jeffrey Rebeccal Huntzinger; and a great-granddaughter, Harper M. Huntzinger. A sister, Sara Louise Sprecher, also preceded him in death. Good Funeral Home Cremation Centre, Reamstown, is assisting the family with private arrangements.
