Shirley Arnold

Shirley K. Arnold, 97, formerly of Adamstown, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Pottstown Memorial Hospital. Born in Brecknock Twp, Berks Co, she was the daughter of the late Leroy M. & Mazie E. (Shupp) Krick and the loving wife of 70 years to Henry H. Arnold until his passing in 2017. Shirley worked in apparel manufacturing for the former Ship-N-Shore in Ephrata & Brownstown and for the Hope Hosiery Mill in Adamstown. She enjoyed volunteering for the Adamstown VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a longtime member of the Allegheny UCC Church. Shirley enjoyed flowers and vegetable gardening; each year canning her produce to share. Most of all she loved her family. Shirley is survived by a daughter, Judy I. (Michael) LaBelle of Pottstown; two grandchildren, Michael (Marla) Labelle Jr. and Wendy (John) Bradley; two great granddaughters, Erin Bradley and Cara (Patrick) DiSalle; and a step grandson, Nash Ohlinger. A viewing will be held Fri., July 2nd from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Allegheny UCC Church, 1219 Kurtz Mill Rd., Mohnton, Pa 19540, where the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
