Donald Homan

Donald F. Homan, 90, of Newmanstown, formerly of New Holland, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022. Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Robert M. & Mildred (Fetter) Homan. Don was a graduate of Shillington High School, class of 1949. He was a Navy Seabee Veteran and original member of MCB4, serving during the Korean War. Formerly Don worked for Florida Power in Clearwater, FL. He then worked as a Draftsman and structural designer for Gilbert Assoc. in Reading. Don enjoyed volunteering his time for the betterment of those around him; he had been an active member of the Masonic Lodge Post 665 of Ephrata and the Reading Rajah Shrine, Motor Corp. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed traveling. Don loved his family, created special memories, and lived a good life. Don is survived by his three children, Brian D. Homan of Reading, Russel A. Homan of Newmanstown, and Sharon L. (Richard) DeLong of Newmanstown; two granddaughters, Rachel Moss and Nicole DeLong; and two great grandchildren, Norah and Harper Moss. Services will be private.
